Auguste Hippolyte Collard born in 1812, became interested in daguerreotype photography in 1847. In 1855, he moved to Paris and created the Central Photography Workshop.
He moved towards industrial photography and photographed work on the bridges of Paris. Then, with Baldus to the progress of French railways. Views of public works sites are rare in the work of Auguste Hippolyte Collard.
